Bohning Arrow Fletching Kit

Its that time again. A magical time in which thousands of bowhunters begin entering the woods to attempt another year chasing the buck of their dreams. Oh, the procedure one must endure in effort to be prepared when the big one steps out into the wrong place at the perfect time. You must scout out your hunting site, get a license, gather all of your equipment and practice shooting.
fix your broke arrows

Most of you that read this most probably have better sense than I do, so you may have already developed your own plans and preparations. Shooting practice is essential for the successful hunter. The problem that I encounter is that I always seem to destroy my arrows during the practicing. For some this may not be a problem, but for a lot of us we just can’t keep shelling out cash for more arrows.

What I do is buy good arrows, shoot half of them during practice, and leave some for the hunting. Well, what if I tear up all the practice arrows? I fix them. Short of bending the shaft out of wack, most problems encountered with target practice include tearing the fletching or losing the nock. These problems can be fixed with little effort and you can turn those old 6 dollar arrows back into productive tools instead of them just sitting out around in the garage.

Instead of taking your arrows down to the local archery shop to get them re-fletched, do it yourself. Bohning Co. Ltd. offers an excellent kit for re-fletching and re-nocking your arrows. This kit contains everything that you need to fletch and nock 50 arrows. This kit is designed for you to make your own arrows, provided you have access to shafts. I use it for what is described above, fixing my screw ups.

The Bohning Arrow Fletching Kit includes:

1 professional arrow fletching jig
150 vanes
50 nocks
1 ¾ oz of Fletch tite cement
116oz bottle of Prep-Rite surface conditioner
And a set of arrow holders.

The time that it takes to fletch an arrow is less time than it will take you to call and place an order at the local shop. What if you don’t even have a local shop? I recommend this kit to any archery pro or wanna be. Im still just a wanna be, but Im learning everyday. If you’ve got buddies that just seem to only be interested in this bow shooting stuff once a year, during the season, you could become a popular person with one of these handy kits. This may not be a plus for some of you, but you can always trade for a cold beverage of your choice.

If your shooting arrows and you don’t like the idea of having to buy new ones due to torn vanes or lost nocks, please contact Bohning Co. Ltd. at (231)229-4247 or fax (231)229-4615. You can reach them on the web at http://www.bohning.com. They have an excellent staff and are more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
